Description:

The Nurse Extern functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Nurse Extern complements the interdisciplinary team, assisting in the individualized care of the patient requiring nursing care. The Nurse Extern assists patients with activities of daily living and observes and reports pertinent facts about patient care to the RN.

Duties:

The Nurse Extern must demonstrate the ability to perform:
1) Personal care
2) Vital signs
3) Patient feeding

Qualifications:

Must be a current student in an accredited RN Nursing program.
