| The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily/routine maintenance of the resort buildings of various facilities on property. Areas of knowledge and experience would include carpentry, basic electricity and controls, basic air conditioning/heating and refrigeration, basic plumbing, vehicle operation and preventative maintenance. |
Duties: |
•Prioritizes repair requests and plans work to ensure necessary parts are available and tasks are completed quickly and efficiently.
•Assists with conducting routine preventive maintenance to correct defects before equipment breaks down or building deteriorates.
•Assists one or more skilled tradesmen with routine installations, repairs, construction and replacement of equipment.
•Identifies repairs needed to plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical system, ventilation system, & building structure. Makes routine checks on equipment and documents status.
•Assembles furniture, cabinets and shelving. Maintains records of work order scheduling and time allocation and performs other duties as required to meet organizational needs.
•Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems and a variety of plumbing fixtures including, faucets, drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, water heaters and swimming pool facilities. Unstop drains and toilets.
•Make repairs on doors, windows, floors, lockers, gates, roofs and ceilings.
•Perform basic repairs on electrical outlets & switches, lighting systems, and other fixtures and equipment.
•Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs to heating, ventilation and air
conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
•Inspects, and when appropriate, repairs locks, doors, alarms, fire extinguishers and fire hoses, and other equipment as assigned.
•Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential job functions related or unrelated as required or assigned by the Director of Engineering or designee per Engineering Team duties, may include but not limited to; snow removal, MP2 Sytem Preventive Maintenance Program, Sanitation, rotating shift or any other unrealated Engineering job functions.

Qualifications: |
Requires a minimum of two years technical experience in one or more of the building trade(s). The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guest, vocational students, and coworkers is also required. Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend duty. The equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Must be able to speak English.
