Work for one of the best YMCAs in the United States, the Upper Main Line YMCA! We are looking for a dynamic, passionate Arts and Humanities/Dance Coordinator for our outstanding facility and programs. This position is ideally suited for someone who wants to grow his/her career and prepare to take leadership to the next level. This is a year round part time position with flexible schedule based on department needs.
We need a highly motivated team player to build positive relationships with our 13,000 + branch members of all ages from a diverse community. Ability to effectively lead and supervise a staff team, manage a $100,000 budget, guide decisions related to Dance/Art, and demonstrate proven success in art and dance education programming are necessary. Candidate should have at least 2-4 years experience in Dance/Art related work. YMCA experience preferred.
Our School of Dance has over 200 dancers ranging in age from 3-67. We also offer session based dance classes. The Arts and Humanities are celebrating its third year. We offer classes to all ages. Classes range from crafts to oil painting to cartooning to clay. We have a kiln onsite.

Qualifications: |
Requirements: 2-4 years experience in YMCA or similar agency, specifically, program development and administration, and a BA/BS degree Art and/or Dance. Practical and managerial experience in art and/or dance, family programs, and special events. Must have teaching and training abilities. Great organizational, communication, fiscal management, supervisory and customer service skills required. Due to the range of responsibilities, a high degree of organizational skills, as well as strong communications and interpersonal skills are needed. Must be a team player with strong human relations skills able to interpret program objectives to members and participants, and to provide communications within and between communities and organizations.
